Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("T&C") govern the Wordpress website hosting and care plans provided by Buchanan Drive Digital ("we", "us", "our"). By subscribing to any of our hosting plans, you ("the Client", "you") agree to abide by these terms.

2. Service Plans & Pricing

We offer three website hosting and care plans:

  • Essential Plan – £105/month (+VAT)
  • Core Plan – £195/month (+VAT)
  • Advanced Plan – Custom pricing based on site requirements

Annual payments receive one month free (12 months for the price of 11).

3. Payment & Billing

  • Payments are accepted via Direct Debit.
  • Monthly payments are due on the same date each month.
  • Annual plans require full payment in advance.
  • Late payments beyond 7 days may result in service suspension.

4. Support & Maintenance

  • Standard support hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm (UK time).
  • Clients can request support via [email protected] or 0141 212 2783.
  • Emergency issues are addressed as soon as possible, though guaranteed out-of-hours support is only available with a Premium Support Plan (8am-10pm, Monday-Sunday, pricing TBD).

5. Uptime Guarantee & Maintenance

  • We guarantee 99% uptime based on our monitoring systems.
  • Scheduled maintenance typically occurs outside business hours and may involve short periods of downtime.
  • Mission-critical sites (e.g., eCommerce) will have pre-agreed maintenance windows with backup and testing procedures.

6. Security & Data Protection

We implement multiple security measures, including:

  • Cloudflare DNS & traffic management (where applicable).
  • Live malware scanning via Imunify360.
  • Strict password policies & user reviews.
  • Free SSL certificates for all hosted websites.
  • WordPress core & plugin updates.
  • Offsite backups (to be implemented).

In case of a security breach, we will notify affected clients within 72 hours in line with GDPR requirements.

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients must:

  • Use strong, secure passwords.
  • Not share access credentials with unauthorized parties.
  • Ensure that their domain name registrations are maintained (if not managed by us).

8. Cancellation & Refunds

  • Monthly plans require 30 days' notice for cancellation. Billing will stop after this period.
  • Annual plans: Refunds are available for up to 6 months of unused service. No refunds will be given beyond this period.
  • Migration assistance: Clients can receive a full site backup (free of charge) or opt for a managed migration for £200 + VAT.

9. Additional Services

Additional services such as Local SEO, Reputation Management, and SEO Tune-Ups may be added to hosting plans. Pricing and availability will be provided separately.

10. Liability & Disclaimers

  • We are not liable for losses due to external factors (e.g., third-party software, hacking incidents).
  • Clients are encouraged to maintain additional backups beyond those provided.
  • Our liability is limited to the fees paid in the last 3 months of service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms with 30 days' notice. Continued use of our services after changes implies acceptance.
